What We Believe

COGICU Affirmation of Faith

Emmanuel COGICU is a Bible Doctrinal Church, teaching ‘practical biblical principles for everyday living,’ with an emphasis on ‘Preaching the Gospel of the Kingdom’ to include:

A. Staying true to the Great Commission of Matthew 28:18-20 and Mark 16:15-18, to ‘Seek and Save the Lost’

B. Equipping the Saints for the work of the ministry – Ephesians 4:12; and

C. Walking in the Authority of the Believer – Luke 10:19; Mark 16:14-20; John 14:12

D. Intentional and Purposeful Community Involvement and Outreach

These teachings help the saints to fulfill their God-given potential, impacting others in their sphere of influence and helping to ‘make disciples’ for Christ (ambassadors for Christ - 2 Corinthians 5:20).

WE BELIEVE THE BIBLE IS THE INSPIRED, INFALLIBLE WORD OF GOD...

II Peter the 1st Chapter and the 21st Verse reads: “For the prophecy came not in old time by the will of man: but holy men of God spake as they were moved by the Holy Ghost.”

WE BELIEVE THERE IS ONE GOD ETERNALLY EXISTENT IN THREE PERSONS: THE FATHER, THE SON, AND THE HOLY GHOST…

I John the 5th Chapter and the 7th Verse reads: “For there are three that bear record in Heaven, the Father, the Son, and the Holy Ghost: and these three are one.

WE BELIEVE IN THE DEITY OF THE SON OF GOD: WE BE-LIEVE IN HIS VIRGIN BIRTH, IN HIS SINLESS LIFE, IN HIS MIRACLES, IN HIS ATONING DEATH, IN HIS ASCENSION TO THE RIGHT HAND OF GOD, AND IN HIS SECOND COM-ING TO THE WORLD…

St. John 1st Chapter and the 1st Verse reads: “In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.”

WE BELIEVE WE ARE SAVED BY THE GRACE OF GOD.

Ephesians the 2nd Chapter and the 5th Verse reads: “Even when we were dead in sins, hath quickened us together with Christ, (by grace ye are saved;)”

WE BELIEVE ONE MUST ACKNOWLEDGE AND REPENT OF HIS SINS, ACCEPT JESUS AS HIS SAVIOR AND RECEIVE THE BAPTISM OF THE HOLY GHOST...

I John the 1st Chapter and the 9th Verse reads: “If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all un-righteousness.”

Acts the 2nd Chapter and the 1st and 4th Verses read: “And when the day of Pentecost was fully come, they were all with one accord in one place… And they were all filled with the Holy Ghost and began to speak with other tongues, as the Spirit gave them utterance.”
